Description: The Zenith El Primero movement is rightly recognised as one of the greatest commercially produced calibres of all time.

Beating at 36,000 times per hour, offering the ability to measure time to 1/100th of a second, and durability despite its complexity, the El Primero has been outstanding since its release as the first automatic chronograph, at least as a prototype in January of 1969. It has been used, aside from Zenith, by many world class brands at the heart of flagship pieces; including Rolex, Movado, Panerai, Ulysse Nardin, Parmigiani Fleurier, DuBois et Fils, Hublot and others.

The Cronometro Tipo CP-2 is a re-edition of the classic Zenith military chronograph issued by the Italian military in the 60s, albeit without the El Primero movement.

The watch is in great pre-owned condition with Zenith manufacturer’s warranty until 31/3/2025. It looks fantastic on the wrist, and shows only minor superficial marks from previous wear on the buckle. The original Zenith strap shows light creasing from previous use but is in very good condition and will serve for further extended wear. This version’s brushed “tarnished” stainless steel case, along with the stitched raw-nubuck band and textured grey dial (which carries a subtle suggestion of the army green shade of the band), gives the watch a cohesive, rugged military look.
